Yes its true! We're obsessed with producing ethical and sustainable fashion. We are always striving to innovate in the way we produce and have a range of partners that help us be the best company we can be.
Our closest ally is the Centre Marembo, a charity for abused street girls and teen mothers, also in Kigali. Most of our employees are sourced from this amazing organisation which tackles the issue of poverty by focusing on women and girls, and has a long history of turning the lives of the most vulnerable around.
We are also committed to using fabrics from sustainable and ethical sources, and have partnered with Cotton Made in Africa (CMiA) for all of our 100% cotton clothing. Always striving for better means that we are also looking to use different fabrics that advance sustainable agriculture and encouraging employment and production in Africa.

African Sewing Club is a Brighton Based Social Enterprise business with a production Unit in Kigali Rwanda. Our aim is to make beautiful clothes and empower the women who produce them.  We employ young women and a few vulnerable young men who are in great need of safety, recovery and financial independence. ASC provides that through their wages, as well as through a supportive, safe and clean place to work.
